The Plan provides a monthly allowance for each of your surviving children if the following conditions are met:
To be eligible for the Family Death Benefit allowance after retirement, you must be receiving a monthly retirement allowance from the Plan, and you had at least 5 years of Department Service with the Plan at the time of your retirement.
